Ways of Becoming a Member

BAPTISM

Baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. • It symbolizes dying to the old life and rising to new life in Christ. • Candidates undergo baptismal classes to understand the foundations of Christian faith, the meaning of salvation, and the responsibilities of discipleship. After baptism by immersion, new believers are joyfully received into full membership of the church.

Transfer of Membership

If you are already a baptized believer and a member of another Christian church, you may join Grace Baptist Church by transfer. • A formal letter of transfer from your previous church is required. • This process affirms your Christian commitment and ensures continuity in your spiritual journey. Transferring members are welcomed and integrated into various ministries based on their gifts and calling.

Oral Statement

Individuals who may not have transferable documents but are baptized believers may join through an oral statement of faith. • The candidate affirms their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. • They share their understanding of salvation, baptism, and Christian living. Once affirmed by church leadership, the individual is received into membership.
