Body of Deacons – Grace Baptist Church, Amakom

The Body of Deacons at Grace Baptist Church, Amakom plays a vital role in the life of our congregation. Through faithful service, compassionate care, and servant-leadership, our deacons support the spiritual health of the church, ensure practical needs are met, and help further our mission of gospel outreach and community love.

What Do Our Deacons Do?

  • Pastoral Support & Care: The deacons assist our pastoral staff by offering prayer, counsel, and personal care to members—especially the sick, elderly, bereaved, and those going through difficult times.

  • Practical Service & Stewardship: Deacons coordinate ministries of mercy, ensuring that resources—material, spiritual, or emotional—are shared with those in need; oversee benevolence, outreach, and support programs.

  • Service in Worship & Church Life: They help facilitate worship services, assist in communion and ordinances, support church administration, and serve wherever needed to build unity and order.

  • Fostering Community & Fellowship: By promoting fellowship, accountability, and mutual support among church members, deacons help nurture a loving, caring, spiritually healthy church family.
